Hair Style Wins the Olympic Gold

This summer’s Olympic games are certainly among the most exciting I’ve ever seen. (Go Michael Phelps!) I hope all of you are able to see part of this magnificent display of talent and camaraderie. And, this Olympic updo is most certainly blog-worthy don’t you think? Anyone else think this passionate fan deserves recognition?
.
An ardent enthusiast decides to make the colorful and symbolic Olympic rings, into an Olympic winning updo. Wasn’t it creative to include braids and buns to make this symbol into wearable art?
.
Here’s a quick bit of trivia on the infamous rings. The five intertwined colored rings of blue, black, red, yellow and green represent the five continents of the world. The America’s are considered one continent and the others include Africa, Asia, Europe and Oceania which indicates numerous lands, mostly islands mainly in the Pacific Ocean. The five rings stand for, passion, faith, victory, work ethic and sportsmanship.
.
Olympic Updo How-To
-
Braid colored synthetic pieces and secure with clear band into circles.
-
Section hair above and below the occipital bone and clip.
-
Separate hair below the occipital into two sections. Twist each section into a bun and pin.
-
Separate rest of hair into three even sections. Twist each section into buns and pin.
-
Secure each colored ring around buns with pins.
