Rules for business dress for women are a dilemma for the fashion conscious.

• Don’t out dress the boss ~~~ In this well done article from Samantha Thompson Smith from the News Observer she lends substance to the article I wrote yesterday which talked about the importance to paying attention to your hairstyle when it comes time to thinking about upward mobility career wise.

  Visual discrimination in the workplace is for real it happens all of the time, especially for women in sales. Is it fair? No, but that doesn’t change the way the system works. Lets face it if you don’t “look like you fit in” you might as well get sharpen up those resume writing skills. This is not the time or place to get edgy.
