Hairdressers love the thin fine wavy hair type, it gives them lots of room for creativity.
Faith Hill has a thin fine wavy hair type. If you pull out a strand of your thin fine wavy hair, it will tend to form a loose “s” pattern. Wavy hair is often versatile hair, contrary to what some of you may think and it can be easily coaxed into many different shapes and hair styles. You can straighten it, set it into tight or loose curls, and layered haircuts can be easily scrunched into shape. Your natural wave gives your fine hair a casual type of body and hair volume that straight hair just can’t achieve. Thin fine wavy hair types will hold a curl for a long time too!
“Layered haircuts for fine wavy hair types”
Layered hair cuts bring out waves to their best advantage. A talented hairdresser loves to work with fine wavy hair because when cut right, it is so versatile they can change your look easily and dramatically just in how they style your hair. If it is left blunt, it will tend to lay flat to the head and tee-pee out on the bottom edge. Be adventurous if you have fine wavy hair. Learn the variety of different ways your current hair style can be worn. Ask your hairdresser to show you a new way of styling your hair before leaving your next appointment. You may be surprised at the numerous possibilities.
Generally speaking, your hair falls in the normal range, neither too dry or too oily. If you happen to be very active, your hair may tend to become more oily and a shampoo designed for that can be helpful. A volumizing shampoo will work well for you also. If it tends to dry out your hair, vary using it with a normal shampoo. But mostly, you can shampoo daily or every other day with a shampoo for normal hair.
When conditioning your hair, apply conditioner on the ends and work up the hair shaft. Don’t condition the scalp. A moisturizing conditioner is good if your hair is dry or brittle A leave-in conditioner protects hair from sun and heat damage, just be aware not to use too much, which will weigh down your hair.

I need some professional advice. I’m losing more and more of my fine wavy hair. This started several months ago. I’m an ovo lacto vegetarian and I make sure I get enough protein and all the other vitamins and minerals. I’ve tried different shampoos. I only wash it once or twice a week because each time I do I have a very big handful of hair in the trap in the drain.
Any suggestions? I do have to take a lot of prescription medicine.
TIA
