But if you’re 30 something and are finding more than usual amount of hair falling out, you need to pay attention.” Hair falling out often an early warning signal” Don’t let this one slide . . . there are a lot of simple explanations like pregnancy, a new prescription, over processing your hair, terrible environmental conditions that really are not cause for alarm. But, just make sure. Your hair is often an early warning signal for other more serious health issues. So if you are seeing lots of hair falling out in the drain after you shampoo, its time to see your Doc for a checkup.
I found this article in the Press & Sun-Bulletin, it provides lots more information about hair falling out and is one that you might want to add to your hairstyle bookmarks.

Old hair is pushed out by new hair at the end of the resting (telogen) phase. This months-long period involves about 10 percent of the hair, more in a woman whose pregnancy has caused her scalp to hold onto it longer than usual. The new hair then enters the anagen phase, and the cycle begins again. Determining what has skewered the cycle is the first step in slowing, stopping or possibly even reversing hair falling out, Lim says. |

Im 41 and face severe hair loss. Is true I put some weight, and got stress daily, not quite a healthy diet, but still I think is too much. Unfortunately, I am in a place where not good doctors or professional advice can be obtained. Any suggestions? Would be really grateful. Thanks!

Gabriella,
Unfortunately, I am not a doctor and with the information you’ve given I wouldn’t be able to assess what the cause of your severe hair loss is. However, if your diet is unhealthy it follows that it will show up in a number of different ways. Someone should look at your hair and scalp and if you can’t see a doctor, my next advice is to talk with a professional, which I understand is not available. Follow the different links on this site and do as much research as you can . . . some suggestions that make sense should surface.
Good Luck!
