The Bouncy, Swingy, Blunt Cut Hairstyle

How to do the bouncy, swingy, blunt hairstyle at home

THE CUT ~~ The simple mid-length haircut gets a touch of class from Scotty Gedding of Cobalt Salon in Atlanta. By razoring front pieces to move inward and subtly beveling ends, he creates a haircut with incredible swing. The length is kept just short enough so hair curves along the shoulders, adding to the feeling of soft movement at the ends.

THE COLOR ~~ Brunette gets a strong, sun-kissed feel with the addition of all-over high- lights. Pieces are woven out and bleached; some weavings are wider than others. Hair color is more heavily concentrated in front. A quick color glossing afterwards brightens up both the base and the highlights.

HOW TO STYLE THIS HAIRSTYLE ~~ Part hair on the side and work through styling creme. Dry in large sections, bending up ends with a paddle hair brush. In front, use a round brush to curve pieces inward. Turn the heavier side under for a little extra contrast.
