Quick Hairstyling Tips For Medium Hair

Tips For Quick and Easy Medium Length Hair Styles
If your hair is medium in length, use these fast techniques to make your hair look like you just left the hair salon.

One quick and easy hair style change is to pull it back into a ponytail. If that’s too boring, twist the tail to the ends and the ends with a barrette. For fast wave, mist with water, finish your makeup and return to your hair styling, drying it with a blow dryer if it’s still damp. Takes just a minute or two on a high-heat setting. Then slip out the barrette and leave the band at the base in place, or remove it if desired.

To smooth unruly hair with tin foil, loosely roll ten, one-foot square pieces of aluminum foil into tubes. Then wind 1/2-inch wide strips of hair (the top layer only) around each tin foil tube. Fold the ends, so curls won’t unravel. Blow dry curls for 10 seconds each. The foil will heat up fast, smoothing the hair’s cuticle. Remove the foil tubes, shake out your hair and fingerstyle. Lift the roots and take care not to remove curl. For extra style, pull curled hair into a half ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Always use a covered band to protect the hair style, finger fluff for a loose, tousled look, This technique works on frizzy, hard-to-control hair and styles it while taming fizz in just minutes.

To give shoulder-length hairstyles a flip try this: Comb the bottom two inches of your hair with a dollop of hair styling mousse. Using it on dry is fine, because mousse dissipates on its own with a little combing. Next, roll ends upward one-and-a half times, using a round, natural bristle brush. This helps hold hair taut. Aim the nozzle of your blow-dryer at the top and bottom of the roll for about 30 seconds per roll. Repeat moving the blow dryer around your head, from section to section, until all of the ends take curl. Finally, lock in the flip with a light mist hair spray.

If you have a long front section or bangs, use it to create a quiff, which is a front puff of hair. Comb hair back, part off the front section, twist just the ends and push the hair forward. Clip ends in place. You have a smooth, rounded quiff in front that adds instant volume.
