Here’s how to get these three hot hair styles for Prom :

Retro Waves for Hair Styles for Prom

Get retro waves by using a setting spray and hot rollers. Spritz a setting spray throughout strands, part your hair deep to one side and then use hot rollers to roll your hair forward toward your face. Roll all your hair and allow your locks to cool completely before unrolling. Once you’ve unrolled your hair from the rollers, take a soft bristled brush and gently brush them into soft, retro waves. Spray a light hold hairspray all over so that your hair styles for Prom stays in place all night long. Glam this Prom hair style up a bit by adding a flower or hair accessory right above your ear on one side of this hair style for Prom. See my article for more discussion on retro waves.

Braided Buns Hair Styles for Prom

A braided bun is a great hair style for Prom it is both glamorous and timeless. Reminiscent of Cleopatra days, the braided bun is actually fairly simple to do. Pull all your hair back into a sleek ponytail, securing it toward the middle of the back of your head. Then, leaving a small section out (for braiding), wrap the hair from the ponytail around the elastic, making a bun and securing the bun with two criss-crossed bobby pins (or more if needed). Braid the small section of hair that was left out and wrap that around the bun and secure with a few bobby pins as well. Be careful to conceal the bobby pins, making your style look seamless. Spray the whole prom hair style with a hard hold hairspray and you’ve got beautiful hairstyle for prom. Check out my article dedicated solely to braided buns.
