New York hairstylist predicts spring hairstyle trends

Up do’s and great prom hairstyle ideas among predictions
Thanks to the Las Vegas Review for this article on what is happening in New York city hairstyling salons.
New York-based hair stylist Paul Cucinello thinks Hollywood will be a heavy influence this year (isn’t it always) with perms and up do hair designs he predicts will be big this spring, hair extensions too, either in ponytails or long braids. The article includes pictures of hairstyles and celebrity hairstyle information. All of these hair dos will work with many face shapes, hair types and hair designs and will be great looks for those of you who are looking for prom hair style ideas. Here are some tidbits:

According to Cucinello, the only possible hindrance to long hair dominating the scene this summer is the influence of Hollywood. You’ll see a lot of braids
“The only short cut you’ll see is when Sienna Miller’s movie (”Factory Girl”) comes out,” he said, “but that’s it.” As far as do-it-yourself styling goes, you’ll want to keep the elastics handy. “You’ll see a lot of braids,” Cucinello said. “Either slicked back and long or taken out for texture.” |
