Natalie Portman: ‘Short Hair’s Easy. It Feels Grown-Up”

Natalie Portman loves her new, short hairdo because it lets her show off her “funny” ears. The star, who shaved her head for her role as a freedom fighter in upcoming film V For Vendetta, has had to change her entire image to accommodate her new look.

She says, “My favorite thing is that I have very funny ears, and they are always on display now. I have to go very simple with my choices of clothes now, and I don’t wear lipstick or jewelery, because, otherwise, I overwhelm my head.”

Although her new hairdo requires a lot of maintenance, the star claims it does have its advantages. She explains, “I’ve been going to the hairdresser pretty often, otherwise I look like a science experiment. Short hair’s easy. It feels grown-up.”
