My Take on Women’s Health Studies
Tips on How to Read Women’s Health News With the Proper Perspective
A while back I reported to you about a study that indicated a connection between certain types of hair colors and cancer. But that is rare for me to report such studies.
Several times a month I see some report from one group or another, that show this or that about some women’s health issue. I report only a tiny portion of the stuff that I see, mainly because I think a lot of it is based upon some pretty dubious claims that are backed up by a bunch of nonsense junk science.
One of my favorite bloggers, Steve Pavlina has written a great article summing up the reasons why he don’t trust these studies. All I can say is Amen!
Fat doctors write health books with nearly identical openings: “Here’s why everyone else is wrong and I’m the only one who’s right.” Health magazines are owned by supplement makers. Drug companies sponsor TV news programs.
