Jersey Shore Hair Buzz is showing up everywhere

The Jersey Shore hair scene has been creating lots of buzz lately. Some of the cast have been breaking ground with their own new hairstyle creations.

“Jersey Shore
Hair Ego”Jersey Shore, is the reality TV show with partying, Italian self-professed, “guidos” and “guidettes.” The show takes place in Seaside, New Jersey. Three of the cast mates on the show have created some Jersey Shore hair envy and have been getting lots of media attention including the “Snookie Bump,” which was imitated on Saturday Night Live!

The cast includes Nicole (Snookie) Polizzi, about 4’ 9” who bumps up her height by pumping up  the crown of her long dark, thick hair quickly with a white plastic jaw clamp. (These can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply.) Hair salons report many requests for the “Snookie Bump” hairstyle lately.

To achieve the “Snookie” Jersey Shore hair, she teases a chunk of hair in the crown area and sprays it with hairspray. She then gathers the teased area together, pushes it up high and clips it with the white plastic jaw clamp and wallah – you have it – the Snookie Bump!

Pauly Delvecchio or “Pauly D” for short has created a new cult following of wannabe ‘guido’s’ who are stepping out with the ‘Pauly D’ Jersey Shore blowout hair style. The blowout process, he sayss, takes him about 25 minutes each day. The key to his hair success, as he puts it, is in the hair products he uses.

After shampooing, he applies Spiker Gel, by JOICO. (Now, if you have ever used this hair care product you know your hair would be able to withstand hurricane winds!) Next, he takes a wide, short toothed pick and blow-dries his hair back away from his face and sides, straight up & out from the scalp. The hair has a stick together, wet look, after drying.  If that’s not enough, he then uses large quantities of hair spray called, Got 2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray to finish the look.

Here’s an insider tip; The Spiker Gel has a counterpart called Spiker Gel Eraser. You may want to consider purchasing this to remove buildup created by the gel.

Then we have Jenni (JWOWW) Farley, with her blonde extensions randomly positioned throughout her long dark hair. The contrast between colors is big here and the look may not be for everyone. JWOWW has a look of her own with her hair that suits her style. She is also into creative clothing design and says to watch for her to come out with her own line soon.Snookie, Pauly D and JWOWW have been the Jersey Shore hair styles to imitate. They are the most requested and imitated hair styles of the show.

Some of the cast mates of Jersey Shore will be making appearances on the View on Feb. 23rd, and later in the month on Ellen. They are making the rounds and you can bet their ‘Jersey Shore hair’ will be all decked out for their special appearances!
