James Bond Girls Hair Style Makeover 
“James Bond Girls Hair Style Fun”
Thanks to Vivienne Mackinder and award-winning photographer Babak, the November issue of American Salon Magazine features the reinterpretation of hair styles from iconic James Bond girls of yesteryear. Inspired by the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, released in the UK on Oct. 31st and in the USA on November 14th, Mackinder shows us an artful interpretation for hair styles, that every drama queen can expound on this holiday season!

American Salon offers this video that walks us through the creative process with hairdressers, make-up artists and designers. Their creative challenge had mostly to do with how to use the images of the girls from past James Bond girls from movies spanning over 46 years, and reinvent them to fit today.

Some of the greats were, Ursula Andress who played next to Sean Connery in the first James Bond film, Dr. No, in 1962 or Jill St. John in, Diamonds are Forever, in 1971. The challenge for this creative team was they needed to fuse the old with the new.

With roller sets, curling irons, hair extensions and other hair styling paraphernalia, in some behind-the-scenes editorial shoots, they show us some how-to’s, putting a new spin on these updated James Bond girls.
