Hair Styles for Spring Break
Hairstyles, Braids, Updo’s– Simple and Casual
“Hair Styles for
Spring Break”Spring break is about here! Have you thought about what to do and bring for your hair once you hit the beach? Different strokes for different folks, but keep it easy and work with your hair type, don’t forget a hat . . . you’ll be fine.
It’s easy to forget that CASUAL hair styles and dress is what rules when kicking back on the beach on spring break! If your getting your knickers in a bunch over, what to wear and what to bring . . . stop all the fuss! Go with the basics and ditch the rest. It’s so easy to over-think packing and end up getting all out of whack. Keep it simple, get yourself a good haircut, a few tans, a manicure and pedicure, then throw in a couple pairs of shorts and tee’s, a swimsuit, one fabulous halter-dress to show off your tan shoulders and some sexy sandals and your pretty much good to go!
As far as hair gear goes, bring one hair styling tool of your choice and maybe two hair care styling products. Do yourself a favor and buy your products in “travel size” or transfer them into travel size containers you can buy at Target or Walmart. A flat iron is a great tool of choice, it’s good for both curling and straightening your hair, so why carry more? See how to curl with a flat iron on a flat iron article I wrote a while ago.
Hair dryers are a staple in most hotels now, so if you’re a die-hard blow dryer/round brush type of gal, leave the dryer home, just bring the round brush and your favorite hair care styling product.

Don’t forget, beach areas are naturally high humidity, so make the best of it with your hairstyle. If you have wavy, or curly hair, make sure you have a good hair cut before you go. Your hair is going to naturally get more wavy, bigger and more curly! Work with it and your hair regime doesn’t get any simpler than that!
But, don’t forget to bring a defrizzer or a hair care product that seals in and helps define the curl. Scrunching your hair may be your best hair styling method for the entire trip!
You may have your own favorites, but if you don’t, here are some top picks from a tally of thousands of hair stylists across the country. These were some product winners from the “Stylist Choice Awards 2008.” To see more hair stylists favorites;
