Hair News Around the Web August

Here is some news from my wanderings on the Web
Monroe Teasing Brush
My local Aerial Beauty Supply Store staff is all over the new boar bristle Monroe Teasing U Brush the new brush claims to be ‘user friendly’ on your hair. The combination of high and low rows of boar bristles create a more effective style and teasing friendly hairstyling tool. Also because the handle is made of wood it won’t break when carried in your purse, like the plastic teasing combs. Although the brush is thin, it’s about 9 inches long so you’ll need your roomier purse for this one.
Vidal Sassoon at first annual ‘Dining For Change’
October Salon & Spa’s Month to Make a Difference!
The National Cosmetology Association, (NCA) has designated October as “Dining For Change Month.” This cause is making it easy for beauty professionals to tie their fundraisers with local professional networking. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, both causes the Beauty Industry has always strongly supported. This year the NCA is encouraging spas and salons to host their own “Dining For Change” event in October. Proceeds will assist NCA-supported charitable causes; Cut It Out/Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund; Look Good . . . Feel Better and the NCA Disaster Relief Fund.
To learn more on how you can help make a difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer and domestic violence go to the Website.
If hosting the event is not an option, NCA asks that spa and salon professionals join one of the many small groups of professionals across the country to network and help them raise $150,000 for the two causes. To learn more or to register as a host.
