You don’t want to loose any time in a hair color emergency. This resource might come in handy. My advice that I give in my class Finding the Right Hairstyle for You! still trumps. Calling a good hair salon in your neighborhood should yield the name and number of a good haircolorist. Remember don’t skimp at this moment . . . remortgage the house if necessary when you have a hair color emergency. Pay whatever it takes to get the very best talent, you’ll not regret it. The site also has some interesting technical information in the study portfolio, for those of you that need to know how chemical reactions occur.

    2. Hi there,

I meant to color my hair light ash blonde as I do have hints of red in my hair naturally and I DON’T want them to come out - I don’t like any hints of yellow or red at all. I had the color in my hand I was going to get when the sales associate came up to me and said she wouldn’t recommend I do that as I have highlighted hair and I could ruin my hair. She said I should try highlighting instead with Clairol’s highlightening do it yourself kit - she seemed so convincing so I bought it, took it home and did it. Now I wish I went with my original choice. My hair has turned all these different colors, I look like a lepard. Really yellow at the roots as it goes out it’s orange and this goes on ALL OVER MY HEAD. Please help me. I need to fix this ASAP, I have to work tomorrow and dreading goign to work but after work I am attempting something different. I can’t afford a hair salon…no way. My only option is to do it myself. Any tips? Please help! If you can before 4:30 PST tomorrow. Thanks - Laurie

    3. Mary,
I would refer you to asking your gynocologist on pregnancy and coloring your hair.

    4. Laurie,

STOP! Don’t go any further yourself. Your biggest mistake now is to try to do a quick fix.
My first advice, since you can’t aford a salon, is to go to a local cosmotology school, and let them look at your hair. The striped effect in your hair, as well as your base color needs to be assesed live.
They will fix it considerably less than a salon, or they may direct you to something you can do yourself.
If you want another expert opinion, call Clairol and tell them their product you used and ask their advice.
Good Luck, and it can be fixed if done correctly.

    5. My hair is orange and I want Ash blonde. Do I just buy the box and do it over the red/orange??

    6. If the color didn’t come out as intended how long shpuld you wait to color it again. And is it safer just to put highlightd in.

    7. Hello,
okay so, one day i got bored and decided to dye my hair aurben brown, it turned out okay, but made me look very white. Now i really want to go back to blonde, i want ash light blonde. I dyed it not that long ago to make it a bit lighter before i bleach it. Do you think an ‘Intensive cream colouration (level 3) will do the job? As i can’t afford to go to a salon, and don’t know of any local cosmotology schools, and as i live in Switzerland it’s hard to find one when i don’t speak the language. Please reply as soon as you possibly can. I’m going to do it tomorrow otherwise, tomorrow after my school finishes. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reply AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Thank you soooo much.

    10. Hi,
I tryed dying my hair blonde even though I had dyed my hair previously black. Most of the black faded to a medium brown but, when I dyed my hair, only my roots came out blonde and the rest stayed brown with the exception of maybe a couple chunks of blonde. It looks really ugly and weird and I am not sure what to do. I can’t afford a salon and need to do something to fix it. Any suggestions? I really would hate looking like this in public with people staring.

    11. have been trying to grow out dyed hair to natural color.I thought I was almost all white, turns out its much more salt & pepper. yuck! b/c of alot of bleaching, and damage I’m thinking of cutting it short. Can platinum cover the gray and hopefully allow me to retouch roots less frequently? Any advise would be appreciated.

    12. hi, my gray hair on top of my head is very difficult to cover Lately I am using med blond permanent Ion color, but is getting very yellow, maybe due to so much retouching. Could I use a semipermanent product and retouch as well?
