Gwen Stefani Hair Style Blunder
Six Hair Style Mistakes
I love Gwen Stefani but don’t you think someone should have told her to leave the,“Jetson’s hair do,” to the cartoons? Knowing what not to do is as important, as knowing what to do in regards to hair and hairstyling. Now, wouldn’t you hope someone close to you would let you know when you’ve gone that bit . . . too far?
“Knowing what not to do is as important, as knowing what to do”
There are those hair mistakes that have been preached over and over ( too much heat or product, over shampooing or drying ) but there are some of the more artful, sometimes subtle, oh- so-unattractive screw-ups made by the well intentioned but mistaken.
Please Avoid These Hair Style Faux Pas
-
Wrong Hair Color — When your hair color is the wrong color for your skin tone, it can be an assault to the senses. It speaks louder of a fashion faux pas than the wearer obviously knows!
-
Over Coloring — Less is more. Over coloring is a most common mistake made by the at-home colorist . . . and it shows! These heads end up normally with intense color that say’s, “I color my own hair, can’t you see it’s not my real color?” The application of too much color over old ends builds up and becomes straw-like. The experience professional colorist doesn’t pull the color through the ends nearly as often as the do-it-yourselfer. The colorist will also dilute the hair color before pulling it through the ends.
-
Unsightly Roots — Notice I didn’t say dark roots, as a right toned darker root is in vogue right now. But for the rest of you who are just trying to stretch out time or $$$ between your next touch-up, don’t do it too often. You have options now that can help to extend the time between colorings. Hair mascara’s, more layered cuts, highlights and lowlights or lightening up your hair color can all save you time and money. IF you decide to color your hair . . . Don’t skimp on maintenance.
-
Once A Good Hair Style, Always A Good Hair Style — You’ve all seen it. The women who is still wearing a hairstyle 10 years later, because she was told it was the best hair style she ever had.
-
Unfinished Hair styling — The logic usually is, “nobody sees back there anyways.” I don’t think so! This one can look either like backcombing that hasn’t been smoothed over or, simply no attempt at all at styling back there. (Makes for a really bad profile!)
-
Hair Too Fixed Or Too Big — Overdone, overworked, overkill!
