Growing Hair Out . . . How to Be GOOD TO GROW!

“Growing Hair Out” You had the hottest short hairstyle on the scene this fall. Now, there’s just one problem—it’s winter, and you want to move on! While there’s no miracle pill to make
hair grow back quickly, Frances Dubose of London Hair in Mount Pleasant, SC offers some tips for making the seasonal change with
grace and style.

  • Growing Hair Out Tip~~“Pick a hairstyle you’re growing hair out for’ and have your hair dresser cut your hair accordingly,” says Dubose. This will help ease you into the longer hairstyle you want.
  • Growing Hair Out Tip~~Avoid the dreaded in-between stage while growing hair out with trims every four to six weeks—wait any longer, and you may lose the shape, become frustrated, and cut it all off all over again.
  • Growing Hair Out Tip~~You can get immediate length with a flat iron, or use it to blend awkward lines.
  • Growing Hair Out Tip~~As you’re growing hair out, take the opportunity to experiment with different hairstyles along the way. ‘The growing hair out part can be fun,” says DuBose. “Try new things, like having your hair cut from underneath for a new shape, or let the under layers grow and keep layering the top”
