Glamorama Long Layered Haircuts Fall Fashion
Macy’s 18th annual sponsored Glamorama is the fall fashion show event of the year here in the Twin Cities and last night they once again delivered a high-energy packed show at the Minneapolis Orpheum Theatre. I wasn’t here to attend but my glam-squad reported back that this year’s Glamorama extravaganza was an altogether entertaining show!
“Glamorama Fall Fashion”Glamorama 2010, combined designer fashions with music performed by Macy Gray and Eric Hutchinson and with passionate dance numbers choreographed by “America’s Got Talent” creative director Brian Friedman. Top designers included, Marc Jacobs, Issey Miyake, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace and Sonia Rykiel.
Glamorama is the fund raising event of the fall fashion season in the Twin Cities, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The real beauty of the show is that proceeds from Glamorama benefit Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
Long Layered Haircuts for Fall Fashion
It would be nice if there were more to talk about with the hairstyles at Glamorama, but the truth of it is, this show is more about haute fashion and entertainment and less about the hair. But from what the hairdressers did show us, it looks as though long layered haircuts are here to stay for a while. The beauty of this is that to glide smoothly into Fall hair fashions, you can stash away your firm holding sprays, gels and basically any hair products that take away from a more “casual, roughed-up look.”
If you learn to work with your hair dryer to create more natural looks out of layered haircuts, you’ll not only look ‘chic,’ but you’ll get out the door in record time! It’s worth taking the time to learn the art of how to blow dry in order to get this fall’s hair styles.
Love the pig-tail look; it’s one of my favorites from Glamorama Fall fashions in last night’s show. How easy is that! And by the way, pigtails look great with bangs or no bangs. Check out these celebrity femme fatale’s with side swept bangs.
Guido Palau tells you how to get the ‘roughed up look’ with your hair dryer and Redken Thickening Lotion. It’s reminiscent of the messy, casual side braid from this year’s Spring/Summer fashion show.
Also, had to include this picture of our local Glamorama child ambassador, Emma Laehn, a 13-year-old cancer survivor from Pepin, Wisconsin. She got all glamed-up for the Glamorama extravaganza last night . . . what a doll!!
