Child Hair Cut is Not For The Faint of Heart

I must admit that during my tenure behind the chair as a hairstylist nothing sent me into a funk quicker than seeing one of my customers walk through the door with a toddler in diapers in tow. I quickly figured out that if I worked in a hair salon in a downtown or office building setting that I could avoid the sweet little urchins who just got a lollipop stuck in their hair in the care on the way to an appointment with me. Thankfully, I was able to keep it to a handful each year.

“isn’t all that difficult to do it at home”

I would guess that a very sizable majority of my hairstylist peers would prefer not to do a child hair cut, if they had the choice. There are a choice few hairstylists who not only enjoy a child hair cut experience, but are good at it. If you’re a mom seek one of these angel’s out. But I know that many of you raising kids are on a pretty limited budget and cannot afford the pricey hair salons who specialize in children’s haircutting.
