Wella Posts Best & Worst Celebrity Hair for 2005

Wella Corporation presented a series of online polls for professionals in the hair industry, on the topic of, “Best and Worst Celebrity Hair” for 2005. This is an interesting list to look at this time of year, to see if the way they voted has been a trend we see reflected so far this year.

So here is what they came up with;

BEST FEMALE HAIRCOLOR

• Blonde
• Jessica Simpson – her shiny, healthy, voluptuous curls showed dimension and a healthy body that only a great hair color can achieve. (That is, unless you happen to be one of those 7 year old darlin’s whose hair does that naturally when introduced to some sun. . . it’s just not fair!)
• Brunette
• Carmen Electra won the professionals vote with her striking, multiple shades of highlighted brown locks.

BEST MALE HAIR COLOR

• Ryan Cabrera was voted for the best male hair color of the year by stylists. He was spotted at all the hottest music and entertainment events.

BEST BUZZ

• Kanye West not only took top awards in the music industry for his outstanding achievements, but got the votes of the participating professionals for the most stylish buzz as well

SUPERIOR STYLES

• Best Up-Do — Salma Hayek who was spotted this year in a number of sophisticated looking up-do’s. ( I would rank her high in the haircolor category too . . . stunning!)

Best Waves – Shakira, the Latin diva, with shades of blonde to brown, won hands down.

“Lindsay Lohan gets ugly award”

Ultimate Touchability – Sandra Bullock wore natural wavy hairstyles that made professionals put her at the top for hair that was shiny, natural-looking and soft with ultra touchability.

WORST RED CARPET HAIR

• Lindsay Lohan apparently made one to many color changes this year. She is a “ravishing natural redhead,” but in one year has gone from chocolate brown, at the American Music Awards, to blonde at the MTV Video Awards, to a redhead at the MTV TRL Awards.
