Chelsea Clinton’s long layered hairstyle wrapped up seamlessly!

No more secrets, no more hush-hush on Chelsea Clinton’s wedding . . . Chelsea’s wedding dress, Chelsea’s wedding hair, Chelsea’s wedding list, Chelsea’s wedding location . . . no more top secret!  The list of speculations on Chelsea’s wedding pretty much ended last night when at about 7:30 p.m. just before sunset, the two were made one, so to speak and that’s that!

Chelsea’s Wedding Hair Choice Shows the Dress

Chelsea Clinton’s wedding hair choice of a very simple, natural, swept back updo, was perfect for her dress and the occasion. Seasoned hairdressers know that an elegant, simplistic hairdo is the best accompaniment for showing off a beautiful dress.No one has speculated yet on the cost of Chelsea’s wedding dress . . . at least I haven’t heard a price dropped yet of the infamous strapless, Vera Wang dress with that great bejeweled belt and the rest, but needless to say all eyes were on the dress.  In the overall scheme of the bridal look, I would like to say it’s about the wedding hair but . . . it’s mostly about the dress.

How Chelsea Clinton’s Natural Curl Get’s Smoothed

So Chelsea and her hairdresser came up with just the right wedding hair style in my opinion, to not only show off that gorgeous dress, but also to work with her naturally curly, Taylor Swift hair type. After all, it was a warm summer July night and all you curly hair girls know that with natural curly hair a good hair day can turn into a bad hair day pronto! What did Chelsea’s hairdresser do to keep her hair so smooth for the entire wedding?

I can only speculate as Chelsea has been good at avoiding the media and I haven’t seen anything released to date on how she has been smoothing her curls. But, because of her strong natural, unruly curl, my guess is she has had a Brazilian blowout treatment.  Brazilian blowout treatments are a great way to soften curls which then can be smoothed out with a flat-iron, big rod curling iron or rollers.

This straightening treatment has caught on big time as it’s had great results in keeping the integrity of the hair. Long layered haircuts like Chelsea Clinton’s, have the ability to be styled a variety of ways, especially when straightened.  Chelsea also has tasteful highlights that added dimension and depth to her hair.

My hat’s off to Chelsea and Marc for having pulled off the “wedding of the century,” keeping paparazzi and media at bay and seemingly having it fit their wedding day desires. It seems extraordinary on how they managed to keep the ceremony so private.  It’s been reported that even with a guest list of over 400, there were no leaks from family or guests on details to the press . . . amazing.

Wedding hair style for country American Idol, sweet and simple!

We haven’t caught site of any more pictures than this of Carrie Underwood’s wedding hair style to date, but more will be released in this Friday’s issue of People Magazine. Our country singing American Idol tied the knot with her long time sweetie, Canadian pro hockey player Mike Fisher, on Saturday, July 10th at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.

“Carrie Underwood Wedding Hair” Carrie’s wedding hair style was a sweet and simple up do, with side-swept bangs and face framing, softly curled tendrils. It was a DIY type of wedding hair style that at least some of you might imagine being able to achieve at home, don’t you think?

I think it was a good choice for Carrie and it reflects her style . . . important when looking back on pictures in years to come.Another plus, was that her uncomplicated wedding hair style showed off a diamond tiara, (Mikes bridal gift to her) and the Chantilly lace and silk organza dress she wore, perfectly. She told People magazine that “The dress was huge.” She changed into a strapless cocktail dress after the ceremony she said, “I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change.”

Carrie’s wedding hair style reflects a wedding hair trend that says simple and casual looking hair is perfectly in good taste on your big day. See these celebrities who recently went with seriously casual wedding hair styles and looked totally stunning.

Here the couple shows their casual side when spotted in Tahiti, for the start of their Honeymoon!  They are on to Bora Bora next.  Congratulations to a lovely couple!!

Isn’t she lovely? The model with the pale skin tone, blue/gray come hither eyes and volumous auburn hair is wearing an utterly stunning formal hair style, don’t you think? But you may ask . . . what makes this a ‘formal hair style? Haven’t you seen a similar hair style on Santa Monica Pier, but it looked more like the ‘boho’ look on Kourtney Kardashian?  So what makes the difference?

Hair Styles”The difference between a ‘boho’ half updo and a similar one that looks like a formal hair style is all in the prepping and finishing of the hair. What’s needed for this hair style to look more like a formal hair style is the use of the right hair care products, finishing tools and techniques. That might sound elementary however, I think many people underestimate the power of finishing techniques!

For this formal hair style, run a shine hair care product through clean damp hair, like Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops. Next, prep the hair with a volumizing curl enhancer like Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel and blow dry. Lightly mist with a thermal protector and wrap 1 inch sections around a 1 or 1 ¼ inch curling iron. Lightly mist cooled curls with finishing spray, like Sebastian Shaper Plus.

Pull through curls with fingers to separate. Backcomb crown, spray and smooth over top. Brush back sides and secure with criss-crossed pins just below the occipital bone. Leave out a curl or two to frame face. Lightly backcomb hair for fullness and spray with finishing spray.
