Easy Hair Updos

Easy Updo
Easy Hair Updo

.

Sebastian Professional gives up cool and easy hair updos.

I like this easy hair updo for a number of reasons but mostly because it’s got an edgy feel to it. This shape artfully combines a smooth, sleek, shiny, soft look, with a curly, voluminous, matte textured look.

“Easy Hair Updos”

Apply into damp hair, a strong holding styling product that will leave your hair full of body like, Gel Forte, by Sebastian. Blow dry for body. Take a section from crown to behind the ear to the nape. Use a strong holding spray, like Re-Shaper, by Sebastian and set sections with hot rollers.  Leave the rest of the hair in front of ears straight or smooth out with a flat iron. Release set. Tease hair to create a cushion and pin into shape. Use straight hair at the front to “cover” and blend the two textures. Place and hold using Re-Shaper.

Gel Forte can also be used in dry hair for a stronger hold and separation.

Re-Shaper is a humidity resistant, brush able spray and can be used on damp or dry hair. It also works as a root lifter or a finishing spray for all hair types.

Surely you’ve noticed more and more celebrities wearing the formal hairstyles of those alluring women of the 1940’s silver screen. Veronica Lake, Grace Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Ingrid Bergman, Marilyn Monroe, the list of leading ladies whose retro hairstyles are being reborn with today’s top celebrities goes on and on . . . applause, applause.“Formal Hairstyles, Retro Hairstyles”

To pull off all this glamour, formal hairstyles were only part of the picture. These glamour babes oozed feminine style and grace from head to toe and emanated a confidence and a powerful presence of their own. To do justice to this style, don’t settle for anything less than the full package, formal hairstyle, makeup, clothing, shoes, handbag and jewelry. Makeup must-haves include deep red lipstick, smokey eyes and a natural looking base makeup.

Jenna Bush Half-Down Long Hair Wedding Hairstyle

“Long Hair Wedding Hairstyles are Trendy”

Sure enough, a new long hair hairstyle trend is underway for all you brides out there. Just wrote a piece about Ashlee Simpson’s half-up wedding hair style then there was Jenna Bush and now comes news that indeed . . . it’s a trend.

The best descriptive words in the salon industry for describing this seasons brides hair, might be summed up as ”casual glam.” At least so says Jason Kearns, Toronto session artist, as reported from behindthechair.com this week. He goes on to say, loose waves on medium and long hair that aren’t too done looking is what many brides are going for this season in wedding hair styles.

If your hair type tends to get more full and wavy as the heat and humidity rise, why not try a wedding hairstyle that works with the summers heat instead of fighting it.  I love the casual, sexy look of this low and loose ponytail up do hair style. Backcomb the top and use a finishing spray to hold it . . . and you’re there!  She has added just the right amount of bling with a bit of sparkled hairpins.

Loose curls make for a soft, Cinderella hairstyle

Today long hair curls are worn much softer and looser than the tight spiral curls of the past few years. Depending on your hair type, the hair styling may best be done with a large rod curling iron or simply rollers using a good curl defining product. End with a mega shine product like Redken’s Vinal Glam 02 spray. This adorable chiffon head wrap and dress by Vera Wang can be found at verawang.com

    High sleek pony-braid

Especially striking for those of you with defining bone structure to your face shape. Slick back hair from temple to temple into a high pony tail hair style. Braid the hair combining the hair underneath as you go for a new take on the french braid. Finish with a shine spray.
