Our Sexiest Hairstyles that Men Can’t Get Enough Of

You’d Be Surprised How Easy it is to Achieve Sexy Hair!

As women, we love to express our personal style through our hair, but we also don’t mind capturing the attention of the opposite sex while we’re at it. Not all men are created alike, but after talking to ten different guys about their favorite hairstyles for women, we did find that they all gave the following five hairstyles two sexy thumbs up.

Romantic Waves

Firefighter, Jeff (age 32), said that he “loves when women wear their hair down and wavy.” We happen to agree that a romantic wave is not only super popular hairstyle this spring and summer, but is definitely an ultra feminine and sexy look. Use a flat iron to create waves for medium and long lengths, or, use a large barrel curling iron around 1 to 2 inches in diameter. Finish with a working spray like Paul Mitchell “Worked Up” for light hold and shine.

Soft Layers

Not only is this look easy to maintain and versatile, but it definitely makes it on the “sexy list” for men. Soft, wispy layers offer movement and volume to short, medium, and long hairstyles. Restaurant manager, Daniel (35) explains,”I love it when a women’s hair is soft and moveable.” Opt for soft layers to achieve a natural, touchable looking hairstyle. Enhance the look of your layers by applying volumizing mousse  to towel dried hair, and round-brushing with a blow dryer.

Bold Blonde

“The blonder the better,” according to personal trainer, Karl (33). Most men would agree that platinum blonde can be sexy, stunning, and irresistible. Cool blondes are a super popular look this season, and a fun and edgy color choice. But if you’ve never strayed to the blonde side before, be sure to ask a professional hair colorist if this would be a flattering choice for you. If platinum blonde is too drastic, you can always lighten your look with a few face framing foils.

Classic Style

When men think of “sexy”, often they’ll think of iconic women and their famous hairstyles.”When I think of sexy hair, I can’t help but think of Marilyn Monroe,” Nathan (doctor, 32) explains. We agree that sometimes the sexiest hairstyles are simple and timeless. For a night out consider channeling Audrey Hepburn with a dramatic bun, or sexy volume and wave like the irresistible Marilyn Monroe.

Au Natural

“I like it when women look like themselves, for example, I like nothing more than when my girlfriend wears her hair natural and wavy,”says waiter Adam (age 24). Not only is natural texture easy and carefree, but men love this casual and effortless look. Instead of torturing your hair with a flat iron, try adding a little Bumble and Bumble Texture Creme and blow drying it with a diffuser. Your hair will appreciate the break, and your man will love your naturally sexy look.

Of course the most important thing is that a hairstyle boosts our own confidence, making us feel sexy and stylish, but it does feel good to capture a man’s attention while we’re at it. While it’s definitely fun to experiment with the trendiest haircuts and wild hair color techniques, most men have simple taste. Next time you’re looking to catch a guy’s eye, consider trying something soft, classic and natural.

Tabatha Coffey On 2013 Spring Hair Trends

Long Voluminous Waves

Hot 2013 Spring Hair Trends

I must say I’m looking forward to spring for many reasons. Sure the obvious “no more heavy layers” and “I can finally wear my favorite shoes without salt ruining them” are high on my why list, but what I love is how spring brings forth renewal and rebirth. And even though this can apply to personal life, nature and spirituality, I let it rejuvenate a beauty regimen. Hair starts getting lighter in color and in weight and makeup palates transition from bold to natural.

When it comes to hair trends for spring I always take note of what I’ve seen at global fashion weeks, especially New York Fashion Week, and I will tell you this, it’s not about uptight, taught tresses like high ponytails and sleek chignons—hair this season is all about being natural and looking “undone.” Here are my three favorite spring hair trends for 2013

Rock ‘N’ Roll Waves: I feel like most people tend to refer to textured, wavy hair as “beachy waves” and I’m growing tired of that term so from now on we’re going to call the look Rock ‘N’ Roll waves. Sounds harder, edgier don’t you think? It’s less 90210 and more CBGB.

These easy-to-achieve waves were seen at Diane von Furstenberg and J. Mendel. All it takes is a flat iron, a rotating hand motion and a great texturizing spray. Actually, I love using a spray that contains sea salt because it really helps “roughen” up the hair.

Messy Updo Hairstyle with a Wide Headband

Undone Updos: Remember when I said hair was looking undone this season? This applies 100 percent to updos, especially when it comes to bridal hair. Two of my favorite looks were seen at the Vera Wang and Chloé shows. This trend is being used more frequently by spring brides who want their hair to look more romantic and ethereal. It’s kind of like “heaven hair”—dreamy, wispy and a bit angelic.

Deep Middle Part

Deep Middle Parts: At Blumarine, the models worked the catwalk with hair parted straight down the middle. But it wasn’t just any part made with a simple tail comb. These parts were pronounced and bold—parts made with wide-toothed combs and defined with shine serum on both sides. It’s the kind of part that makes the eyes look alluring and seductive. Definitely a great “night out” look.

No matter which sexy spring hairstyle you choose, just remember to have fun. Each of these hairstyles shows personality, don’t forget to embrace yours.
