Beyonce Grammy Hairstyle Boosts Bling-Strands

Beyonces hair made history Monday night at the Grammys and her hairstyle gets an award in my book as well! She became the most decorated woman in one night in the Grammys 52 year history taking home six awards . . . Beyonce rocks!!

“Beyonce Hair”Beyonces hairstyle was beautifully silky and straight but what made it shine literally, were the Bling-Strands she wore in her hair. She won an award for the ‘Best Female Pop Vocal” on her song “Halo” and her hairstyle matched the title appropriately.

Bling-Strands were introduced in ’08 to hair salons as a fun new hair accessory. Bling-Strands are sparkly, iridescent, holographic strands that are subtle and add just the right amount of eye-catching sparkle to the hair. They are sold in packets by color and there are enough to do two full hairstyles with the recommended 10 to 12 strands per style.

The strands are tied into the hair and can be brushed, washed, ironed and curled. The only thing they don’t recommend is using a comb which could pull on them too much.

If you have them tied in at the hair salon, expect to pay about 2 to 4 dollars per strand. If you buy them yourself expect to pay around $10.00 per package (but you will more than likely need someone to tie them in.) Go to www.blingstrands.com to get more info on this fun hair accessory.

  1. Unfotunatly, Bling Strand has chosen to misrepresent their product and it’s appearance at the Grammy Awards. It has been confirmed by Beyonce’s hair stylist Kimberly Kimble, that in fact it was Bella Via Hair Glitz, the original Hair Glitz, used in Beyonce’s Grammy hair style on Sunday.
