Start with a great haircut; long layered haircuts or medium layered haircuts are best in order to give your curls support and your hairstyle a great shape. Practice makes perfect so try it a few times before expecting to get perfect curls! Here are Tommy’s 4 steps, but also watch the video below to see how easy it is!

To get curly hair with your flat-iron:

1. Start with �” sections, clip extra hair out-of-the-way
2. Warm up hair by quickly sliding section through iron
3. Twist hair around iron and clamp. If ends have a fish-hook, rewrap hair just on ends and turn iron 180 degrees and pull through. For a tighter curl, wrap hair around iron from the base or closer to the scalp.
4. Loosen up curls with fingers and finish with a lightweight spray

It may sound like an oxymoron but you really can get curly hair with your flat-iron. Once you master the technique . . . you may decide to ditch your curling irons and save yourself a little space.

Selling cut hair online is an effortless way to make extra money. College students and stay at home moms are frequent sellers who cash in cut hair for extra money. The auction format creates a focused marketplace for interested buyers to bid and ensures cut hair is sold at the highest going price.

“Other sites give blind offers,” Horton said. Online Hair Affair creates a “must have” demand with real time posting of competing bids.

How long does your cut hair need to be?

“You can pretty much try to sell any length of cut hair but the longer the hair is the more you could receive for it. The average length of hair sold on my site is around 13″ but lengths shorter than that have also sold. To be in the safe zone, I would say for clients to hold out until they can sell at least 10″ of cut hair, that way if it doesn’t sell they can meet the minimum requirements to donate it.”

It’s perfect because it’s an original look that’s easy to recreate and holiday hair bows are a cinch to find or even to DIY!  Find the perfect color combination in a scarf-tied-bow like Rihanna’s and choose a fun material to work with like, silk, taffeta, tulle etc. and have a good day!

Holiday Hair Styles- Rihanna style!

If you have natural curly hair you’re in luck; if not to get this hairdo:

• Work with 2nd day hair for better hold
• Mist sections to be curled with a thermal spray before curling
• Spiral wrap long layered hair with a 1″ curling iron starting a few inches off the scalp working to ends.
• With deep side part, gently pull hair back into a high ponytail, dropping out side framing fringe.
• Tie scarf ending with a perfect off-center bow
• Lightly backcomb at roots of ponytail if more fullness is needed
• Mist with finishing spray

Holiday Hair Styles- Rihanna style!

You might need to get your bow-tying skills updated to get these hairstyles with bangs right, but it’s soooo worth it for that one-of-a-kind style!
