Stylist Choice Awards
See what the professionals picked as their favorite products and tools!
For all of you in the hair styling business, who haven’t made it to this event yet, flag it for next year. Looks like they had another great time at the Stylist Choice Awards, at the Hard Rock Live, in Orlando, Florida.
This year the show opened with Vidal Sassoon, who spoke on the, “Stylists Unlocking Hope,” a campaign he and Mary-Rector-Gable of BTC (Behindthechair.com) started. They received a standing ovation. “Stylists Unlocking Hope,’ campaign will help build homes with Habitat for Humanity, in the Gulf region, devastated from hurricanes.
Tigi’s, Bruno Mascolo, handed Vidal an $85,000. check for their commitment for the cause. Bravo Tigi’s!!
Tabatha and Tyson from Bravo’s TV series, Shear Genius, were there and had yet one more competition in them. They both had four hours to complete hairstyles on three models. The judges were Vidal Sassoon and Ken Paves, who after much deliberation chose Tabatha as the victor in the end.
There was a huge line up of mucky mucks and big name platform artists and professionals such as Anthony Mascolo and Robert Cromeans to name just a couple.
It’s great to be able to see what the professionals vote for as their favorite products each year. After all, they are the one’s with their hands literally in the thick and thin of it daily and can give truly, a hands on opinion of what they choose as the “best of the best.”
Grant it, hair stylist can’t try every product out there, but for the product lines they do try, and from the buzz they hear from the rest of the industry, this list is worth paying attention to. Behindthechair.com tallied up votes from over 500,000 professionals who visit their website monthly.
